When dinnertime rolls around, there's nothing we appreciate more than a no-nonsense recipe that's quick and delicious. That's why we were over the moon about how simple this meatball casserole is to throw together using ingredients you probably already have in your refrigerator or freezer. Of course, you can make the entire meal from scratch, but these clever shortcuts prove you don't need to sacrifice quality for the sake of time.
Pillsbury provides the simplest approach to this dish, as everything is essentially pre-made. You begin by  microwaving frozen meatballs for about 5 minutes to thaw them slightly, then combine them with bits of biscuit dough and pasta sauce. Next, you simply pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with cheese, baking for 30 to 45 minutes at 375 degrees.

If you feel like upping the ante slightly, Roxana of A Treat's Affair makes her meatball casserole with homemade meatballs. The meatballs, based on a recipe of her mother's, contain sneakily disguised vegetables that even the pickiest eaters won't be able to sniff out. Roxana makes the meatballs in mass quantities ahead of time, so there are always some stashed in her freezer.
You'll notice that Roxana also puts in a little more effort into arranging her casserole — layering the meatballs on the bottom, pouring the marinara sauce on top, sprinkling cheese over that, then finishing off with neatly-placed biscuit dough. Cook time for her recipe is 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

You can always substitute your own recipe for the meatballs, the marinara sauce, or even the biscuits if you're feeling particularly ambitious. No matter which method you choose, what emerges from the oven is sure to be a hearty meal you'll find yourself craving. Happy eating, and don't forget to SHARE this crowd-pleasing recipe!
