Bacon wrapped pineapple filled with pork ribs is both savory and sweet

Savory and sweet can be a difficult pairing to successfully achieve at the dinner table. If done right, you nail two taste buds and have an instant hit. If botched, the sweet oftentimes overpowers the savory and end up with a dish that's more reminiscent of dessert instead of dinner.
That's the beauty of this recipe from Jess of Crock Pot Moms. Rather than try and play a delicate balancing game with fruit and meat, Jess' recipe takes a few guaranteed hit ingredients to make a sweet, savory and hearty dinner the whole family will enjoy. Using everyone's favorite ingredient: bacon, this recipe makes a mouthwatering juicy rib dinner.

Beginning with a whole pineapple, you'll need to skin it, slice it in half and remove the core. You should be left with a pair of U shaped halves.
Next, you'll begin layering in your country style ribs inside of one pineapple half. You should be able to get about two layers of ribs in before adding the top half of the pineapple.
Drizzle on your favorite barbecue sauce or any sauce of your choosing! Even a little soy sauce can do the trick!
Place the top half of the pineapple on and begin layering your savory strips of bacon around the pineapple to lock in all those juices and give it a nice crispy outer layer!
Once you're done, cover it and cook it covered on low for 6-8 hours, letting all those juices soak into the pork ribs!

Once it's done cooking, drizzle on some more barbecue sauce, slice and enjoy!
