This slow cooker beef and broccoli recipe is the ultimate alternative to takeout. Just do 15 minutes of prep and pop it in a slow cooker. By dinnertime, you'll have a savory dish waiting to be devoured.
Hearty beef, tender broccoli and a sweet and tangy sauce will have your family jumping for joy. Serve over rice for a complete meal!

Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli

2 pounds boneless beef chuck roast, thinly sliced into bite-sized pieces
½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 cup low-sodium beef broth
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons minced or grated fresh ginger
4 tablespoons cornstarch
6 tablespoons water
4 cups medium-sized broccoli florets
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
Arrange beef in a 6-quart slow cooker.
Add everything from soy sauce to ginger. Mix well.
In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and water until smooth. Add into slow cooker and mix well into the soy sauce marinade.
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or on low for 6 hours.
Add broccoli to the slow cooker and mix into beef and sauce. Continue cooking on high for 40 minutes, or on low for 1 hour.
Serve over rice. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and green onions.
