Ever met someone who didn't like meatloaf?  Probably not many, right?  And with good reason.  A moist, meaty, savory loaf with a caramelized crust is hard to beat.  But by the time you're back from work, it's often too late to fix this family classic for dinner.  So here's the best news ever for busy meatloaf-lovers; here is where you learn to make the perfect meatloaf, in your slow cooker, with the potatoes to serve alongside it.  
Prepared in minutes before you leave the house in the morning, the aroma that welcomes you home will turn an ordinary day extraordinary before you can say, 'wow...that smells amazing!'

Slow cooker meatloaf

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 6 hours, 20 minutes
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients
1.5 pounds red potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 2-3" pieces
2.5 pounds lean ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
3/4 cups ketchup
3/4 cup crushed butter crackers 
2 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
For the glaze:
3/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions
1. Lay cut potatoes on bottom of 6-quart slow cooker. 
2. Mix all other ingredients for loaf in a large bowl. Then form into a loaf before setting on top of the potatoes inside the slow cooker.
3. In a small bowl, mix ingredients for glaze, then brush on top of loaf.
4. Cover and cook on low 6 hours.
5. Serve with potatoes.
