Broccoli is one of the vegetables that has a very distinct taste and can be really hard to get children and adults alike to eat. Medical News Today points out that broccoli is one of the healthiest vegetables around; so if you can find a way to get your family to enjoy the little green trees, you've found something of great value.
Kiersten Hathcock of Mod Mom Furniture shares her secret to getting her family to eat broccoli. Chicken Broccoli Casserole is simple to make and only takes seven ingredients. As with any recipe, start by preheating the oven to 375°F (191°C). The casserole is built in layers. The first is broccoli and can be made from either one head of fresh broccoli or one bag of frozen broccoli. Whichever you choose to use, steam it before placing it into the 9x13 pan.

The second layer is the chicken. If you choose to use a roasted chicken, be sure to have shredded it before placing it on top of the broccoli. Another option would be to use one large can of chicken.
Next, is the sauce. Combine 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup (113.4 g) of light mayonnaise, and the juice of one lemon. Mix them well and pour them over the chicken and broccoli.
Sprinkle 8 ounces (225 g) of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Lastly, sprinkle 1/2 cup (113.4 g) of bread crumbs over the cheese.
Place the casserole in the oven and let it bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. The creamy, cheesy sauce makes even the staunchest haters of broccoli pause and consider nibbling this tasty dish. Amazingly, miracles do still happen.
