Need a comforting, warming plate of really delicious food?  Got it right here.  It couldn't be easier to put together and you can set it cooking before you leave the house and come back to creamy chicken and noodle goodness that will satisfy and nurture.   It's a great recipe to draw the family around the table and share together.
You could try using dried noodles instead of frozen ones, and feel free to toss in any other vegetables that you like.  Green beans or broccoli florets would work well in the
rich sauce, so don't hold back if that's what you have!

Ingredients:
3 - 4 chicken breasts, fresh or frozen
24 oz frozen egg noodles
2 x cans cream of chicken soup (or your choice of celery, mushroom, etc)
2 tsp chicken base/stock/bouillon powder or paste dissolved in 4 cups of water
2 carrots, diced
1/2 sweet onion, chopped finely
Black pepper
Instructions:
1.  Place the carrot, onion, liquid chicken stock/water and soup into your slow cooker and stir until blended, then add the chicken and dot the butter on top before cooking on low for 6 hours.
2.  After 6 hours, remove the chicken, shred and return to the pot, then add the noodles and stir thoroughly before cooking for 2 more hours on low.  Check your seasoning and add black pepper to taste.
Ideal to serve straight out of the pot to hungry hoards, this satisfying dish freezes well, so it's great to store for another day.  A handful of finely chopped parsley would look and taste really good against the creamy dish, and a green salad and plate of warmed bread would be perfect.  Nearly as perfect as a second helping, in fact!
