An Italian classic and an American favorite - meatballs are a delicious meal that's versatile. We all know, though, that the best meatballs are the ones that have been simmering all day - soaking up the tangy tomato sauce and savory seasonings.
This slow cooker recipe is going give you the slow-cooked meatballs you desire with the freedom to spend the day at work, or enjoy the weekend, instead of standing over the stove.

4 hours 20 minutes
2 pounds ground beef
1 cup plain breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon dry thyme
1 teaspoon dry sage
1 teaspoon dry oregano
½ cup parmesan, powdered
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 eggs
2 24-oz. jars marinara
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1½ teaspoons salt
Pepper to taste
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except marinara and tomato paste. Mix well. Shape mixture into 2" meatballs (make giant meatballs if you like, whatever your preference! Just be sure to increase cook time, 1 hour for every inch added in size).
In a 6-quart slow cooker, whisk together marinara and tomato paste. Add in meatballs.
Cook on high for 4 hours.
Serve in a sub with your favorite sandwich toppings.
