Bacon, beef and cheese bombs
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 5
Ingredients
1 pound minced beef
Dry rub
Grated cheese
20 slices of bacon
Small skewers
Directions
1. Form a patty with about 1/5 of your meat. You can make slightly smaller or larger patties if you want.
2. Top the raw meat with a teaspoon of your favorite rub (gently massage the rub in, but not too much) and add a bit of shredded cheese.
3. Fold your patty in half and squeeze the edges together to seal your cheese inside.
4. Wrap your bomb-shaped patty with bacon. You may need two or three slices to cover the whole thing.
5. Place a skewer through the center (long ways) of your bacon bomb.
6. Smoke on a grill (indirect heat works best). Cook at around 350 degrees for roughly 20 minutes.
7. About 5 minutes before you pull the bombs off the grill, coat each one with a layer of barbecue sauce.
Serve with your favorite picnic food!
Pro tip: If you don't have minced beef you can use ground beef though the texture is going to be a little bit different.
