How to make cream cheese spaghetti baked casserole

Pasta night never looked so good! Adding cream cheese to a traditional spaghetti dish creates a more dense flavor and extra moisture. While this dish doesn't call for any vegetable chopping (saving precious minutes in the hot kitchen), you can easily add in a chopped onion or some peppers if the family is extra hungry.
Just a few minutes of prep time and then the oven does the rest! This is a great dish to please picky eaters and you can tidy up (or read a book!) while it finishes baking. Cream cheese spaghetti baked casserole

Total Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 5
1 pound cooked spaghetti
8 oz cream cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pound ground beef
1 jar marinara sauce
Cooking spray
Parmesan cheese
Parsley (optional)
1. Place your cooked and drained spaghetti into a large bowl. Mix in your cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir until everything is evenly coated. Set aside.
2. Brown your ground beef completely. Drain the oil, then add marinara sauce. Lightly mix and allow the meat and sauce to simmer for a few minutes.
3. While your meat is simmering, coat a casserole dish with non-stick spray.
4. Pour half of your meat and sauce mixture into the casserole dish. Use a spatula to spread the sauce and meat evenly. Top with spaghetti and finish off with the rest of your meat and sauce mixture.
5. Sprinkle a bit of cheese on top of the meat and sauce. Bake for 30 minutes to completely melt the cheese.
6. Garnish with parsley.
Pro tip: If you have a few extra minutes to spare, try adding in mushrooms, diced onion, or diced peppers for an extra pop of flavor.
