Have gross oven racks? Here's the one trick you need

Print this recipe
Oven racks are impossible to clean, aren't they? No matter how much you scrub, that overflowed mac and cheese just won't come off. And, the turkey drippings from hosting Thanksgiving are still on there, too. Admittedly, all those nooks and crannies are simply infuriatingly hard to clean. So, don't do it.
Instead, let it soak. Now, you're going to need a big spot to do this so we suggest the bathtub. You will need to let them soak overnight as well, so, be sure to hop in the shower before doing this one. Ready? Here's what you do.

Directions
1. Line the tub
Place some old rags at the bottom of the tub, this is just for an added layer of protection. The rags will have most of the gunk and grime of the racks fall onto them instead of your pretty porcelain.
2. Put the racks in with hot water
Place your racks on top of the rags then turn on the tub. Fill it up with nice hot water to start the deep cleaning process.
3. Add your cleaning solutions
Now it's time for the good stuff. Pour in the dish soap to lift off all that grease, then, toss in a few dryer sheets. Let your cleaning concoction sit overnight.
4. Wipe clean
Now that your oven racks have soaked overnight in a bath of hot soapy water, they're ready for the final step. Reach in and grab those dryer sheets and use them to wipe off all that loosened grime. When your racks emerge from the water they're going to be good as new.
