How to make French onion chicken casserole

The recipe below combines all the best casserole elements—creamy, crunchy, and cheesy—in one quick and satisfying dish. I like to think of it as green bean casserole turned into a meal. Serve this alone or spoon it over white rice or egg noodles.
Cream of celery soup lends a lovely vegetal quality and eliminates the need for seasoning. The combination of mayo, sour cream and creamy soup provides a luxurious mouth feel, but you can also omit the mayo and double up on sour cream if you prefer a tangier taste.

Pro Tip: If you’re not a fan of green beans you can omit them or replace them with a cup of diced celery.
