How to make slow cooker BBQ pork chops (video)

Print this recipe
There's something about barbecued pork chops that hits every taste bud and every sweet and salty craving. But if you're cooking them on an actual grill, it can be a lot of work. You have to clean the grill, keep the chops from burning and possibly even put out a few small fires. But if you use the recipe below, you don't have to worry about any of that.
This recipe takes a couple of bottled sauces and combines them with the pork chops, and everything simply bubbles together in the slow cooker. If you have the time, you can make the barbecue sauce from scratch, but sometimes, you just have to let other people do the work for you.

6 hours, 5 minutes
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon Sriracha or other hot sauce
4 boneless pork loin chops
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Green onions, sliced, for garnish (optional)
Place the onion, barbecue sauce and Sriracha in a 6-quart slow cooker. Mix to combine.
Season the pork chops evenly with the salt and pepper. Place in the sauce in the slow cooker, covering them slightly with sauce as you do.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
Remove pork chops from the slow cooker, spoon the sauce over them and garnish with green onions.
To get an even deeper flavor for the pork, sear it slightly in a skillet before adding to the slow cooker.

This no fuss shrimp boil is great. It's as easy as throwing everything in a slow cooker, minus the shrimp, corn and Old Bay. Let your slow cooker do it's thing while you go about your day.
