Baked Parmesan tomatoes

4 large tomatoes (use heirlooms if they're in season!)
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup powdered Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 garlic cloves, minced into a paste
1/2 teaspoon crushed chili pepper
1½ tablespoons olive oil
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wash tomatoes and cut them in half. Place on a baking dish lined with parchment paper cut side up.
Season tomatoes with salt and pepper.
Evenly spread mixture on top of each tomato.
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, until juices just start to bubble but tomatoes still hold their shape.
