Because it is made with both pudding mix and sour cream, this cake is ultra moist. With three doses of chocolate—from pudding mix, cake mix, and chocolate chips—it delivers intense chocolate flavor. Serve this cake as is or top with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of sweetened whipped cream.

Slow cooker chocolate dump cake

Nonstick cooking spray

1 (16- to 18-ounce) package devils food chocolate cake mix

2 cups sour cream

1 (4-ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix

1 (10-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips

¾ cup cooking oil

4 large eggs, lightly beaten

1 cup water

Spray the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

In the slow cooker, combine the cake mix, sour cream, pudding mix, chocolate chips, cooking oil, eggs, and water and stir to mix. Dump all the ingredients into the slow cooker. Mix together well.

Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, until the cake has risen and is springy when pressed, but not beginning to brown.
