Traditionally, beef stroganoff is a Russian dish that dates back to the 19th century. It was originally made with strips of beef sautéed and then finished in a rich sour cream sauce. In this modern twist, we use ground beef instead of strips to create a more substantial casserole dish. The creamy sauce, combined with tender pasta and savory mushrooms, makes this dish a true comfort food delight.
