Old School Cabbage Casserole
Ingredients:
1 chopped small head of cabbage
1 can of cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup, ~ 10 ounces
8 tablespoons butter
1 chopped onion
1/3 cup mayo
Salt and pepper to taste
For the topping:1 sleeve crushed Ritz crackers (~28)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese you prefer)
3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a casserole dish with cooking spray or butter.
2. In a pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it's translucent and fragrant Add the chopped cabbage to the pan and cook for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to your preference.
