6 tablespoons of cubed butter
2 handfuls of Corn Flakes
10 sliced and cored apples
3.75 cups of all-purpose flour
1.5 cups of shortening
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1 egg yolk, combined with enough milk to make 1 cup of liquid
1 beaten egg
1 teaspoon of sugar for sprinkling
For the frosting:
2/3 cup of powdered sugar
2 dashes of vanilla extract
Milk, as needed to achieve a thin frosting consistency
Instructions:
