Ingredients:

1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Melting chocolate disks (enough for # of cookies you want)
Chocolate chips (3 per cookie)

Note: We made 48 cookies in this batch so used 48 melting chocolate disks and 144 chocolate chips.

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter, creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, and packed light brown sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until well mixed.

4. In a separate small bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet, leaving about two inches of space between each dough ball. Optionally, roll the dough balls in granulated sugar or shape them into smooth balls.

7. Bake for ~8 minutes until the cookies are puffy and soft but set.

8. While the cookies are warm, press one melting chocolate disk into the lower center of each cookie and add three chocolate chips around it to create a paw-shaped pattern.

9. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely, allowing the chocolate to set before stacking for storage.
