Steak Bites with Garlic Bread and Horseradish Cream
Servings: 4-6 servings
Ingredients
1 lb of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 baguette, sliced in half lengthwise
4 tablespoons butter, softened
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Season the steak pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
4. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with the minced garlic. Spread this mixture evenly over the cut sides of the baguette.
5. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
6. While the bread is baking, prepare the horseradish cream by combining the sour cream, prepared horseradish, lemon juice, and chopped chives in a bowl. Mix until well combined and smooth.
7. Serve the steak bites alongside the garlic bread, with a dollop of horseradish cream on the side for dipping.

Variations & Tips
For a milder version, you can reduce the amount of horseradish in the cream or substitute it with a mild mustard. To add some veggies to the steak bites, toss in some sliced bell peppers and onions while searing the steak. You can also make this dish more kid-friendly by serving the horseradish cream on the side and letting everyone add their own preferred amount. If you prefer a different cut of steak, tenderloin or ribeye would also work beautifully in this recipe.
