Amish Baked Brown Sugar Ham
Servings: 8-10 servings
Ingredients
1 (8-10 pound) fully cooked bone-in ham
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
Place the ham in a large roasting pan, flat side down.
In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, cinnamon, and black pepper until well combined.
Brush the mixture over the entire surface of the ham, making sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.
Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until heated through, basting occasionally with the pan juices.
Remove the foil during the last 15-20 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Variations & Tips
For a citrus twist, add the zest and juice of one orange to the glaze mixture. If you have picky eaters who aren't fans of cloves, you can omit them and add a touch more cinnamon or even a pinch of nutmeg. For a spicier kick, try adding a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to the glaze. If you're short on time, you can use a spiral-cut ham to reduce cooking time and make serving easier.
