1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the egg mixture. You can also substitute the cheddar cheese with pepper jack for an extra kick. If you prefer a lighter option, use turkey sausage and turkey bacon instead of pork. For a more colorful casserole, consider adding chopped bell peppers or spinach to the mix. This dish is quite versatile, so feel free to experiment with different types of bread, such as sourdough or whole grain, to suit your taste.
