Chicken bacon gnocchi soup is the ultimate comfort food, perfect for those chilly Midwest evenings when you want something warm and hearty. This dish combines the creamy goodness of a classic chicken soup with the delightful crunch of bacon and the satisfying chewiness of gnocchi. It's a recipe I stumbled upon during a particularly hectic week at work, and it quickly became a staple in my home. Not only is it delicious, but it's also quick to prepare, making it ideal for busy weeknights.
This soup pairs beautifully with a simple green salad or some crusty bread to soak up the creamy broth. If you're feeling indulgent, a side of garlic bread can complement the flavors perfectly. A light, crisp white wine like a Sauvignon Blanc can also be a delightful accompaniment.

Variations & Tips
For a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream. If you prefer a vegetarian option, omit the chicken and bacon, and use vegetable broth instead. You can also add other vegetables like mushrooms or carrots for extra flavor and nutrition. For a gluten-free version, ensure the gnocchi is gluten-free.
