Buffalo chicken nuggets are a delightful twist on the classic chicken nugget, bringing a spicy kick that's perfect for game day or a fun family dinner. Originating from the famous Buffalo wings, these nuggets capture the same tangy and spicy flavors but in a bite-sized form that's perfect for kids and adults alike. Baking them in the oven makes them a healthier option, while still keeping that delicious crunch. They're a hit at any gathering and are sure to become a family favorite.
These spicy Buffalo chicken nuggets pair wonderfully with a side of crisp celery sticks and creamy ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping. For a more substantial meal, serve them alongside a fresh garden salad or some homemade coleslaw. If you're looking to add a bit more spice, a side of seasoned sweet potato fries would complement the nuggets perfectly.

Oven Baked Spicy Buffalo Chicken Nuggets
Servings: 4
Ingredients
1 pound chicken breast, cut into nugget-sized pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
2 large eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Buffalo sauce
2 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
In another bowl, beat the eggs.
In a third dish, place the breadcrumbs.
Dip each piece of chicken into the flour mixture, then the eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Place the coated chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown.
While the chicken is baking, mix the Buffalo sauce with the melted butter in a small bowl.
Once the chicken is done, remove from the oven and brush each nugget with the Buffalo sauce mixture.
Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to set the sauce.
Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces and sides.

Variations & Tips
For a milder version, reduce or omit the cayenne pepper and use a milder hot sauce. If you have picky eaters, you can make a separate batch without the Buffalo sauce, simply seasoning the nuggets with some Italian herbs instead. For a gluten-free option, substitute the flour and breadcrumbs with gluten-free alternatives. You can also experiment with different sauces, such as honey mustard or BBQ, to suit your family's taste preferences.
