Variations & Tips
For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to the meat mixture. You can also experiment with different herbs, such as thyme or oregano, to add a unique flavor profile. For a gluten-free version, substitute the breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed rice crackers. If you prefer a leaner option, use ground turkey in place of pork, but be mindful of the cooking time as turkey can dry out more quickly.
