How to 'plant' cupcakes inside terra cotta pots 

To begin, gather some small planter pots and line them with cupcake papers.

Then add the batter of your choice and bake. Strachan uses a chocolate batter in order to keep up the flower facade.

Lastly, pipe on the frosting in a decorative floral design. You can use pieces of candy for the leaves. How cute are these?
