To begin, make sure you have a sharp knife for cutting and a spoon for scooping out the seeds. Make sure that you turn the squash stem down as this will make sure it stays balanced while you cut. Push the knife through the center of the stem and rock slowly side to side. This is not one simple cut, but rather a few short movements.
The video does warn that if it becomes difficult to push the knife through, do not force it. Instead, take the knife back out and then guide it in once again. Remember, safety is key. Finally, you are ready to remove the seeds. If you would like to cube the squash, remember that you should peel the skin first.
