Cooktop Cove: Pulled pork in the slow cooker
By Henry Cannon
Slow cookers have changed the way that dinner is prepared. Gone are the days where you get home from work or school and immediately jump into dinner preparation. Instead, you can do your dinner devising in the morning, and get your evening meal in order just by throwing a few things in the slow cooker.
For this fantastic pulled pork, here's what you'll need:
- 2-pound pork roast
- 2 tbsp sweet paprika
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp garlic
- 1/2 cup onion
- 3 tsp honey
- 1/8 cup water
- lettuce
- guacamole
- pico de gallo
The tender pork will pull apart with ease.
In lettuce cups, add a healthy serving of pulled pork and top it off with fresh guacamole and some pico de gallo.
