You don’t need to hail from Wisconsin to enjoy the delicacy that is fried cheese. The savory snack isn’t known for its health benefits, but it sure does taste amazing. Thrillist says that a recipe for fried mozzarella dates all the way back to Medieval France. While the recipe has likely evolved over the years, the true heart of it remains the same.
Mozzarella sticks and other fried cheese items are popular appetizers at many restaurants, but they don’t often appear on the table at family dinner. But you don’t need a deep fryer to have yourself a bit of fried cheese. If you’re looking to whip some up at home, check out the recipe below.

You'll need the following: grated mozzarella, grated parmesan, an egg, flour, oregano, breadcrumbs, and oil
To get started, combine the mozzarella, parmesan, egg, flour, and oregano into a mixing bowl.
Once you have the proper consistency, form little balls out of your cheese mixture. 
Coat them in bread crumbs before you stick them in the oil.
Now it’s time to fry!
Spoon out your fried cheese balls and place them on a paper towel.
