Transform cake into a beautiful bouquet of roses

Flowers and candy. That combination is a tried, true and accepted way of showing your significant other that you care. However, for those occasions when traditional roses and candy aren’t enough, a bouquet made out of cake may be just the thing your significant other needs. If you’re crafty, you may just be able to make the cake bouquet yourself as the cake artisans behind YouTube channel, Got Cake, show you in their video, “How to Make Cake thats looks like a Bouquet of Red Flowers.”

In the video, the cake decorator starts with a vase-shaped piece of cake that has red, whipped cream icing roses at the top. From that starting point, the decorator readies piping bags filled with plain whipped cream and gold-colored whipped cream. As the video shows, the decorator pipes a line of whipped cream lengthwise over the vase shape and then adds the gold-colored icing horizontally over the white whipped cream. By crisscrossing the plain whipped cream and gold icing, she creates an elegant, weaved-basket design. The cake decorator finishes off her cake creation by adding green whipped cream leaves to the roses and a second, smaller bouquet of roses to the basket.
