How to make Chinese-style broccoli beef in a slow cooker

Broccoli beef is one of my favorite dishes to order at Chinese restaurants, but did you know it's possible to make the classic dish at home using your slow cooker? Using a few simple ingredients, you can make broccoli beef that will have your family and friends drooling and begging for more!

Chinese-style broccoli beef

2 pounds beef chuck roast, thinly sliced
4 cups broccoli florets, cut into large pieces
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup water
3 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 cup honey
Pepper to taste
In a small bowl, mix together water and cornstarch to make a slurry. Be sure to stir thoroughly so there are no lumps. Mix in honey and soy sauce. Set aside.
Add beef, broccoli, onions, garlic, and pepper into a 6-quart slow cooker.
Add slurry into slow cooker. Mix everything together.
Cook on high for 2 hours. Come back halfway through to stir thoroughly.
Serve with rice or noodles!
