Cobblers are a great way to enjoy the taste of sweet summer berries in any season. Juicy bubbly berries topped with a tender, flaky crust make this classic dessert a crowd pleaser. This quick and easy version comes together in 5 minutes and requires only 7 ingredients.
Using pre-made biscuit dough creates a perfect, butter topping for juicy berries. You can use fresh or frozen berries for this recipe, but if you use frozen, allow them to thaw before cooking. The cinnamon and vanilla enhance the berries natural sweetness.

2 hours, 5 minutes
1 tablespoon (14 g) butter
4 cups (400 g) blueberries
1 cup, plus 2 tablespoons (230 g) sugar
3 tablespoons (24 g) cornstarch
2 teaspoons (5 g) cinnamon
1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
1 tube (1 lb., 450 g) premade biscuit dough
Use butter to grease the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker.
Add blueberries, 1 cup of sugar, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and vanilla to slow cooker and stir to combine.
Separate out the biscuits and cut into 1 or 2 chunks. Layer evenly over top of berries. Mix together remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over top.
Place 3-4 paper towels over top of slow cooker to absorb moisture, then cover with lid. Cook on high for 2 hours. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.
Pro tip: For a crisper crust, spread 1 tablespoon of melted butter over top of biscuit layer before adding cinnamon sugar.
Note: All slow cookers are a little bit different in temperature and calibration. This recipe was tested in Cooktop Cove's Test Kitchen using this slow cooker, which is available for purchase here.
