Love corn on the cob, but hate shucking? Try this method. According to a video posted by America's Test Kitchen, shucking corn can be a simple, clean process that requires very little effort on your part. All you have to do is cut the end of the corn about one inch above the last row of kernels. Next, pop the corn in the microwave for a couple of minutes and the steam allows you to simply squeeze the corn out of the husk. It's that easy!
Of course, you can always opt to shuck the corn by hand. But, fair warning--it is not easier. According to The Kitchen to do this method, start by pulling the husk back until there is a single layer of husk left on the corn. Then, you can pull the husk down toward the bottom of the cob. Finally, you can twist the base removing the end and the husks. Be sure to clean away the remaining silk.
