Cleaning the window tracks and tracks on sliding glass doors can be one of life's biggest pain in the bums. The small spaces get crusty, dirty and coated with bugs, and they are notoriously difficult to reach with a regular cleaning rag.

Method 1: Grab some baking soda, paper towels, hydrogen peroxide and cotton swabs. Watch this method in action in the video below:

Method 2: You'll need a shot glass of vinegar, cotton swabs (or a toothbrush), paper towels and a vacuum with a hose. If possible, preclean your tracks by sucking loose dirt out with your vacuum attachment.
Next, soak a cotton swab in vinegar and drag it in the crevices. If your tracks have a ton of dirt, try a toothbrush instead; it cleans a much bigger area and will take a bit less time. Use a paper towel to remove the dirt and dry the track. (Use a toothbrush, pencil or cotton swab to press the towel into the smallest spaces.)

You should clean your window and door tracks at least once every six months to keep the dirt buildup from getting too heavy.
