Ingredients
3lbs (1.36kg) chicken wings
1" piece of ginger, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup sriracha sauce
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup (60mL) soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp warm water
(optional) 1 bunch freshly chopped scallions
Directions
1. Place the chicken wings into the bottom of a well-greased slow cooker. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the ginger, garlic sriracha, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame seeds and black pepper. Pour over the top of the chicken wings and toss until the wings are well coated in the sauce
2. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 2 hours. 10 minutes before serving, mix the cornstarch with the warm water in a small bowl until smooth and pour into the sticky wing sauce to thicken. Serve with freshly chopped scallions and a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
