How to make slow-cooker barbecue drumsticks with peppers and onions

Looking for an easy last-minute dinner idea? This meal has a shorter slow-cooking time than most slow-cooker recipes, which is great if you are getting started on dinner later in the day. In fact, I often make this on my shopping day; it's easy to throw together after a morning of running errands.
Chicken drumsticks are inexpensive. I add some seasonings and veggies to brighten up the flavor of this chicken. The best part about cooking chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker is that the chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender. When I cook chicken in the oven or on the grill, I have a hard time getting it as tender as the slow cooker can.
