No-bake double chocolate peppermint fudge
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes + chilling time (about a couple of hours to overnight)
Serves: 12
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
1 can (14-ounce) of sweetened condensed milk (divided into two 3/4 cup portions)
4 tablespoons butter (divided in half)
1/2 cup crushed peppermint
3/4 cup peppermint-flavored chocolate
Directions
1 Prep a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper or grease with butter, set aside.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix 3/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk, 2 tablespoons of butter, and 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips. Melt the mixture in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth.
3. Quickly spread the melted chocolate mixture into the prepared pan. Use a knife or spatula to create an even layer. Place in the refrigerator.
4. Combine 3/4 cups of sweetened condensed milk, 2 tablespoons of butter, and 1 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips in your microwave safe bowl. Melt (stirring every 30 seconds) until smooth.
5. Spread the white chocolate on top of your dark chocolate layer. Top with crushed peppermint and chocolate peppermint pieces.
6. Chill until the fudge is firm. Cut into squares to serve.
Pro tip: You can place a glass bowl over a pot of boiling water to create a double boiler. If you prefer, you can melt your chocolate this way instead of in the microwave.
