N0-bake key lime pie
Laura in the Kitchen
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes
Serves: 8
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 stick unsalted butter (softened)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 can (14-ounce) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup lime juice
Zest of 1 lime
2 cups whipped topping
Directions
1. Mix the graham cracker crumbs, butter, and sugar in a large bowl. Combine until the crumbs are coated with the butter. Firmly press the graham cracker mixture on the bottom of a 9-inch tart pan. Set aside.
2. Mix sweetened condensed milk, lime juice and zest in a bowl. Combine until creamy and smooth. Pour your mixture into your crust and spread evenly.
3. Add a layer of whipped topping on top and decorate with sliced limes.
4. Let the pie set in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Allow the pie enough time to firm up before plating.
Serve cool.
Pro tip: You can use an 8-inch springform pan in place of the tart pan. The removable bottom makes it easier to plate your pie when it's finished.
