The recipe below is a fun play on a classic sandwich. We added garlic butter to premade croissant dough. Then we top it off with some beef and cheese. Can you guess what this it?

Sloppy Joe Casserole

Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef (80/20)
½ cup ketchup
2 cups prepared tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 tablespoon molasses
4 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 (8-ounce) package croissant dough sheet such as Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
To make sloppy Joe mix: Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Saute beef until cooked through, about 10 to 15 minutes. Drain beef and return to skillet.

Add everything from ketchup to molasses. Combine until fully incorporated.

Simmer for 5 minutes on medium-low heat.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt butter on medium-low heat.

Add garlic and parsley. Simmer gently for 3 minutes. Do not let garlic herb butter burn or turn dark.

Arrange croissant dough to fit the bottom of a casserole dish.

Brush dough liberally with garlic herb butter.

Top with a layer of sloppy Joe mix (about 2 cups). Top with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat three to four times.

Loosely cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes, or until dough is cooked through.

Remove foil and continue to bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese is golden brown.
