Make easy ham and cheese hot pockets at home in just 15 minutes

There's nothing like a warm pastry filled with gooey cheese and salty ham. You can easily make these in advance and freeze in Ziploc bags. Your family can pop them in the toaster oven whenever they want!
The best part about the following recipe is that it only requires 15 minutes to prep. A hearty afternoon treat or breakfast go-to, this recipe will most definitely show up on the kitchen table.

Ham and cheese hot-pockets

1 can ready made croissant dough
4 slices ham
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 egg beaten (optional)
2 teaspoons fresh parsley finely chopped (optional)
Preheat oven to 375°F
Unroll the 2 pieces of croissant dough. Keep them in their rectangular shape. Pinch the diagonal precut seams together. Then separate into 4 rectangles.
With your finger put a little water on the edges of the dough to make sure they stick together once folded. Fold ham to fit on one end of dough. Top ham with a ¼ cup of cheese. Fold into a pocket and seal the edges. Make 2 small incisions on the top of each pocket so steam can release when baking.
Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
