Cajun spices usually consist garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, cayenne, dried thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, paprika and salt. With all those beautiful flavors it's no surprise why cajun style anything is always a sure winner. In the recipe below we use a cajun spice mix and generously sprinkle it over chicken wings for easy and flavorful dish everyone will love.
This recipe is simple as it gets! If you're up for it you can make your own cajun blend but for this recipe we go ahead and just use a ready made blend. We start of by placing the chicken wings into the slow cooker then giving them a healthy sprinkling of cajun spice and melted butter. It's important to really work in the spice and butter with your fingers. Then boom! Into the slow cooker it goes. If you want the extra crisp simply throw them under the broiler on a baking sheet and there you have it.

2 pounds chicken wings
2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
salt to taste
3 tablespoon melted butter
In a 6 quart slow cooker add in chicken wings. Sprinkle in cajun seasoning, salt and butter.
Mix well making sure to rub the spices into each chicken wing.
Line the top of your slow cooker with a few paper towels. This will absorb any excess moisture.
Cook on high for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Tip: If you want more a crust on the chicken wings after cooking. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment then broil in the oven until crispy.
