How to make sticky sweet bacon glazed chicken

Print this recipe
I love foods that combine sweet and salty: trail mix, Hawiian pizza, and this chicken. A combination of honey, brown sugar, and molasses provides sticky sweetness while bacon, soy sauce, and Worcestershire add savory goodness. The recipe below is sure to satisfy any and every craving.
This recipe can cook in 4 hours or be stretched out over 7 or more so you can adapt it to your schedule. The Asian flavors work well with steamed broccoli and white rice, but are also subtle enough to complement potato salad and crisp green beans.

Meanwhile, crisp the bacon in a skillet. Drain off excess fat and add the remaining 1/4 cup of honey honey and the Worcestershire. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 minute.
Stir glaze into slow cooker, tossing contents again, then recover and cook on high for an additional hour.
Heat broiler.
Remove chicken to a baking sheet and baste with sauce. Broil 1/2 minutes on each side, basting as desired. serve with additional sauce on the side.

Pro Tip: The first step can be done up to a day in advance. Just store the sauce covered in the refrigerator until ready to use.
