The humble potato — it's a staple in so many countries around the world. So versatile, potatoes can be added to almost any recipe and fit right in. With a loaded potato, the humble tuber shines at center stage with help from the best potato company there is: savory ground beef, bacon and cheese. In the recipe below, we take what we know and love about a loaded potato and turn it into a casserole and then some!
Start by cutting your potatoes however you like. In this recipe, we prefer dicing the potatoes, but you can slice them if you want. Brown the ground beef with onions and garlic to build more of that delicious flavor. Mix the cooked ground beef with potatoes, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions and bacon (optional), and into a casserole dish it goes. Topped with more cheese and served with sour cream, this loaded potato casserole will always be a hit at the dinner table!
