Bacon Maple Crack
Cooktop Cove
Ingredients
1 pound bacon
1 sheet puff pastry
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lay the bacon out on a rack, and place on top of an aluminum-lined baking sheet. Bake the bacon for 20 minutes, until crispy.
2. Remove the bacon from the oven and set aside to cool.
3. Roll out the puff pastry, and prick all over with a fork to keep it from rising too much as it bakes. Drizzle with half the maple syrup and scatter with half the brown sugar.
4. Crush the bacon into bits, and sprinkle over the top. Drizzle with the remaining maple syrup, and sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar.
