Chicken Piccata is so great, isn't it? Easy-to-cook escalopes of chicken in a delicious coating that everyone can't wait to eat! Kids seem to really enjoy it as well - it's hard to go wrong with something that vaguely resembles a giant chicken nugget, right?
It's Italian-inspired, but Italians often use veal instead of chicken for this classic dish. However, chicken has probably taken over as the most popular incarnation of the recipe, so check out our fabulous and super-tasty piccata variations and make your favorite tonight!

1. Healthy chicken piccata (h/t Laura in the Kitchen)
A light and lovely version here, with a brilliantly informative video to boot! Just make sure you have the ingredients to hand before you watch as you'll be going crazy to eat chicken piccata by the time it's finished!
2. Chicken piccata with lemon sauce (h/t Taste of Home)
A touch of hot pepper sauce is a great idea, and the buttery lemon glaze here is just perfect. Do use white wine if you can - it gives a lovely piquancy to that sauce.
3. Lemon chicken piccata with capers
Have you ever had this classic Italian dish? Crispy chicken cutlets are doused in a buttery sauce that's swimming with salty capers and fresh parsley. It's rich, it's creamy, and surprisingly enough: it can be healthy and low-carb, too! Get the full recipe here.
4. Creamy chicken piccata with garlic (h/t Little Spice Jar)
We have a lot of love for this recipe. The cream..the garlic...the suggestion to serve it over angel hair pasta...all good. The capers and lemon juice are the perfect foil to the overall richness of the dish, bringing balance and perfect yummy harmony!
5. Chicken piccata pasta (h/t A Spicy Perspective)
This is a great idea. The chicken is cooked in bite-sized pieces with pasta for a work-a-day version that's got all of those classic flavors going on and is just perfect for a comforting family feast!
