There are plenty of ways to clean your shower, but the shower floor needs even more attention. All the dirt you wash off of yourself collects on the bottom and not all of it runs down the drain. Instead, it creates gross buildup that not only makes your shower dirty but can also prevent you from getting completely clean.
Fortunately, we have a whole list of the best ways to clean your shower floor. Whether you use only natural ingredients or you don't mind a few chemical products, we've got you covered. So decide which cleaning method works best for you and start scrubbing!

1. Dawn & vinegar
Pour some Dawn dish soap into a soap-dispensing brush and fill the rest of the dispenser with vinegar. Set aside. Follow this same procedure, but this time put your ingredients into a spray bottle. Spray the bottom of your shower with your mixture and let it sit for 20 minutes. When the time is up, use the soap-dispensing brush to scrub the shower floor. Finish by turning on the shower to rinse everything down the drain.

2. Powdered bleach
If you don't mind using bleach when you clean, then try this tip. Fill a bucket with hot water, a few squirts of dish soap and a scoop of powdered oxygen bleach. Mix until the bleach is completely dissolved. Wet a sponge in this mixture and scrub your shower floor with it. When you're finished, rinse everything down the drain.

3. Ammonia
Using ammonia is one of the quickest ways to clean the bottom of your shower, but only if you don't mind using ammonia. All you have to do is put a little ammonia on the shower floor, let it sit for a few minutes and then scrub over it with a stiff brush. Make sure you haven't recently used bleach, though, because the combination of bleach and ammonia will form a toxic gas!

4. Nail polish remover
For really stubborn stains on the bottom of your shower, grab a bottle of nail polish remover, soak a white cloth with it and use it to scrub the stain until it disappears. Finish by scrubbing over the shower floor with a wet sponge to make sure no polish remover remains.

5. Oven cleaner
Start by running the shower to wet everything down. Wipe down the bottom of your shower so it's no longer soaked. Spray a thin layer of Easy-Off Oven Cleaner onto the shower floor and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Scrub the floor with a sponge, then with a bit of steel wool and finish by rinsing everything down the drain.

6. Acidic cleaner
Despite all your cleaning, you might still notice a buildup of soap scum on the bottom of your shower. To get rid of this, pour an acidic cleaner directly onto the soap scum and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Scrub over the floor with an abrasive sponge, then rinse the cleaner down the drain.

7. Baking soda & vinegar
If you have a textured floor in your shower, then this is the tip for you. Rinse the floor with water, then sprinkle it with a thin layer of baking soda. Cover the floor with old towels and carefully pour boiled water over the towels until they're completely soaked. Wait until the water on the towels has cooled down, then use them to scrub the floor. Mix 2 cups white vinegar with 2 tablespoons Dawn dish soap in a spray bottle and heat it for about 2 minutes. Spray this onto the shower floor and let it set for 30 minutes. Scrub the floor with a sponge and then rinse everything down the drain.
