Most people use shampoo at least a couple times a week, so it makes sense that it's a product you always have on hand. This is great news, because it turns out that shampoo is actually good for several things that don't involve hair.
It doesn't matter if you're doing a little cleaning around the house, trying to refresh bags and purses or just hoping to bring some extra shine into your life. A bottle of shampoo can help you accomplish all of these things. So rinse out your hair, get some shampoo and take a look at the ideas below.

Clean a toilet
There are plenty of ways to clean a toilet, but what do you do when you suddenly realize you're out of your usual cleaner and guests are arriving soon? Squirt shampoo around the inside of the toilet bowl and scrub as you normally would. You can also put a little shampoo on a damp sponge and use that to scrub the top of the bowl and the toilet seat.

Clean bathtub grime
If the bathtub has lots of grime, instead of buying expensive store-bought products try the solution below instead. You'll find that nail polish remover does the job just as well.
Clean chrome
Chrome fixtures look their best when they're clean. Unfortunately, they also tend to gather water spots and grime easily. To give chrome faucets a good polish, squirt a dab of shampoo onto a sponge, sprinkle a little baking soda onto the sponge and scrub until you get a thin layer of this combination on the fixture. Finish by rinsing it with water and watching it shine.
Replenish leather
Whether it's in the form of a purse, a jacket, a pair of shoes or a couch, leather is always a good look. It's also somewhat difficult to clean, and you can't use just any product on it. One product that's completely safe for leather, however, is shampoo. Squirt a little onto a cotton pad and quickly wipe away any dirt or grime that's standing between you and a chic leather look.
Wash your car
If it's time to wash your car but you don't have any soap on hand or you just want to end up with an extra-sleek shine, what should you do? The answer is add a generous amount of shampoo to a bucket of water, dip in a sponge and start scrubbing. By the time you're finished, the car will look brand new.
Unstick a stuck zipper
Sometimes a zipper just refuses to slide closed, whether it's on a book bag, purse or favorite jacket. When this happens, put a small squirt of shampoo onto a cotton pad or paper towel and rub it along each side of the zipper. This will help "grease it up" so the zipper will slide smoothly.
