The flavors of ham, cheese, and chicken all work together so nicely in Chicken Cordon Bleu, it's not hard to see why it remains a favorite of many today. But it can be a lot of work. First you have to get all of those ingredients rolled together. And then you have to keep them that way while you put the chicken through a breading station. It's no wonder not too many people have this as a regular menu item at home. But, as you can see in the recipe below, there is an easier way to do it.
You still take use of those great ingredients, but you lay them all out in a lasagna. What could be easier than placing ham on top of lasagna noodles and chicken on top of that? And of course, it all still gets covered with lots and lots of cheese - it is one of the defining ingredients of Chicken Cordon Bleu, after all. So now you can enjoy this classic comfort food, with none of the hard work!
