How to make slow cooker ham, green beans and potatoes

Print this recipe
Tons of wonderful slow cooker recipes exist, but with too many of them, you still have to make a couple of side dishes. One starch and one vegetable, at least. The recipe below, however, makes it possible to get a complete meal right out of the slow cooker. You don't even need to add anything at the end or keep an eye on it. Just add all the ingredients, and enjoy a homemade meal that you actually didn't have to sweat over.
This recipe uses small potatoes, but you can use any potatoes you'd like. And whether you use frozen green beans or fresh is also completely up to you. The main thing is that the ham and the potatoes are cut into pieces the same size so that they cook evenly. Otherwise, one might become tender long before the other and eventually turn to mush.

Some who have made this recipe have said they sauté the entire thing afterward to get it a bit crisper, but it's fine the way it is. To be honest, isn't the point of using a slow cooker to not have to sweat over the stove?
