How to make Slow cooker green beans, bacon and potatoes

Print this recipe
I love my slow cooker. I mean, the whole idea of using this powerhouse kitchen appliance is that it's supposed to make mealtime easy, right? And that's why I get so disappointed when I see that something needs to be browned before going into the slow cooker. But guess what? The recipe below will delight you and me both. It's literally a dump and cook, whether you're using cooked bacon or raw.
I actually often make this dish with raw bacon, due to my reluctance to taking extra steps with my slow cooker. And it's beautiful when done that way. The bacon becomes super tender and still has that smoky flavor to it. But when I made this last time, I already had some cooked bacon in my fridge. And also hating to waste leftovers (especially when it's bacon!) that's what I used instead. It certainly won't come out crispy, but it's just as delicious with still just one step needed.
