12 ounces cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
1/4 cup finely diced yellow onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Using a hand mixer, mix all ingredients except the nuts in a large bowl until they are well-blended.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Shape the cheese mixture into a ball, and place in the mixing bowl. Cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
Fill another bowl with nuts.
